課程概述

This course is designed as an intensive training program for students to become effective English language teachers. It provides students both theoretical principles and practical aspects for English teaching, particularly for course designs and lesson planning. Specifically, students will learn methods and techniques of English teaching, evaluation and design of teaching activities and materials. Students will also develop their presentation and instruction skills through teaching demonstration, school visits, and classroom observation.  

課程目標
本課程的目標在提升學生的核心能力如下: (1)培養課程、教學與評量之知能,(2) 整合英語文學科知識與教育理論之實踐能力,(3)了解現行公私立中學英文科教學現況與教育體制與理念,(4)具備任教學科專業之知能。進一步說明如下:
This course is intended to prepare students to be effective high school English teachers. Specific course objectives include: (1) developing teaching skills and professional knowledge concerning course and teaching material designs, teaching methods, lesson planning, and language testing and assessment, (2) increasing practice and experience in classroom teaching, presentation, and observation, (3) understanding current EFL programs provided by public and private high schools, and (4) improving proficiency in classroom instruction and presentation. 
課程要求
Active participation.
Attend all seminars and school visits on time.
Dress appropriately for class visits.
